Accounts Payable Clerk

Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team on a contract basis in Jacksboro, Tennessee. This position offers the chance to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced accounting environment, with a focus on accurate invoice processing and collaboration with a dedicated finance team. The role is onsite, running through the end of the year with potential for extension.

Responsibilities:

Accurately process accounts payable invoices by performing timely data entry.

Assign correct coding to invoices and ensure they are matched appropriately.

Record transactions in the accounts payable ledger with precision.

Verify the completeness and accuracy of all documentation related to accounts payable.

Collaborate with colleagues in the accounting department to meet project deadlines and maintain workflow efficiency. Requirements - Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts payable or a similar data entry role.

Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accuracy.

Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

Comfortable working onsite in Jacksboro, Tennessee, Monday through Friday, during regular business hours.

Familiarity with invoice coding and processing procedures.

Experience with accounts payable systems or ABAQUS software is preferred.
