Job Title: General Production Worker

Job Description

The General Production Worker role serves as an entry-level position for individuals eager to join our dynamic plant environment. This position involves essential tasks such as cleaning, filling machines, and maintaining cleanliness around the facility.

Responsibilities

Operate and clean filling machines.

Load and unload railroad cars.

Manage loading of 22lb bags of peanuts.

Maintain sanitation and cleanliness around the facility.

Assist with general production and labor tasks.

Perform housekeeping duties.

Essential Skills

Minimum of 6 months of production experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting.

Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.

Comfortable working at heights.

Capable of lifting 50+ lbs regularly throughout the shift.

Experience with forklift and front-end loader operations is preferred.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Previous experience with skid steering is a plus.

Must be able to work in confined spaces.

Work Environment

The role involves working both indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions. The production area can be hot, and tasks require physical labor, such as filling bags, housekeeping, and more. The facility is large, with work involving heights, stairs, and rail cars. Employees should wear jeans and work-appropriate shirts, with steel-toed boots required. Safety gear, including safety glasses, hard hats, gloves, and ear plugs, will be provided. The workplace culture prioritizes safety above all.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Dawson, GA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.46 - $17.46/hr.
