Electrical Engineer (Janesville, WI)

We are looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer in Janesville, WI who will have ownership in all phases of electrical design, coordination with internal engineering groups (I&C, Process, Nuclear, Structural, etc.), procurement of equipment, commissioning, and start-up.

The base salary range for this position is $120k-$135k annually plus a comprehensive compensation package.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Prepare specifications, calculations, drawings, and test plans to support the design, new construction, testing, commissioning, in-field troubleshooting and operation of the medical isotope production facility.

Work with Procurement organization to procure equipment.

Monitor and provide guidance to contract engineers and engineers of record for the normal electric power supply system.

Provide support to Construction by processing requests for information, engineering change requests, work packages, and reviewing document submittals.

Work with electrical inspectors (Authorities Having Jurisdiction) to assure compliance of company electrical systems.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.

7- 10+ years experience in designing low voltage power engineering and power distribution duties.

Working knowledge of the National Electric Code, Life Safety Code, Building Codes, IEEE standards, and IEC standards.

Experience with conduits, cable trays, cable selection, terminal/connection drawings, panels, and panel design.

The following are considered a plus:

Experience in electrical design meeting NRC regulatory requirements.

Professional engineering license preferred, with the ability to obtain a Wisconsin professional engineering license.

Proficiency in Electrical Design tools such as AutoCAD Electrical or Solidworks electrical.

Familiarity with SCADA or PLC systems preferably Allen-Bradley.

Greenfield Experience - from design through construction and startup.
