Responsibilities Provide input to the District Public Affairs Officer (PAO) and assist in conducting the Commander's public affairs program. Prepare and/or coordinate with subject matter experts on the development of presentations and message points for key issues and enhance staff and employee situation awareness of key issues through a variety of command products. Assist the PAO in overseeing the District command information program in the development and management of appropriate e-technology and traditional systems to keep employees situationally-aware and informed. Provide input to the PAO in managing the District's media services program to include media response procedures, media spokesperson training, traditional media services, and e-technology support features. Provide input to the PAO in overseeing the development of public information materials to include traditional media as well as e-technology and Internet products. Represent the District as an active member and officer in various community and social service organizations with the authority to disseminate factual information concerning the District, its policies and programs.
