Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer IIJob Description

Join a dynamic and rapidly growing manufacturer in the Dayton, OH area, specializing in custom metal fabrication for industrial applications. We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer II to support process development, documentation, and continuous improvement across our fabrication, welding, powder coating, and assembly operations. This position also involves supporting new product introductions and occasional travel for training, investigation, and equipment commissioning.

Responsibilities

Develop and document processes for fabrication, welding, powder coating, and assembly operations.

Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.

Support new product introduction efforts and contribute to design activities.

Conduct occasional travel for training, investigation, and equipment commissioning.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize production workflows.

Essential Skills

3-5 years of experience in a Process or Manufacturing Engineering role.

Proficiency in AutoCAD and SAP systems for basic tasks such as reviewing prints and accessing production data.

Competency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor's degree with 3-5 years of hands-on experience, or an Associate's degree with 8-10 years of hands-on experience.

Experience with Kaizen, 5S, and other continuous improvement methodologies.

Understanding of Lean principles, including lead time reduction and SMED.

Interest in expanding responsibilities into design and new product introduction.

Work Environment

Work schedule is Monday-Thursday with 10-hour shifts. Start and end times are flexible, but presence is required from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM to overlap with the second shift team. The role is based in a new facility with ample room for growth and opportunities to learn multiple aspects of the business. The company is experiencing significant growth, providing an exciting and dynamic work environment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Vandalia, OH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $48.08 - $60.10/hr.
