Manufacturing Engineer. SUMMARY The Manufacturing Engineer will identify
operational and process improvement opportunities; manage all phases of
capital projects from conception to completion; work with operations and
departments across the organization to identify and support continuous
improvement projects using data analysis and input from Associates. This
is a hands-on position. Projects will be implemented using solid project
management processes to meet schedule, cost, and customer satisfaction
deliverables. Engineering/reengineering activities will be characterized
by accuracy, durability, efficiency, and regulatory compliance. (FDA,
OSHA, regulatory requirements related to the nutraceutical industry,
etc.). Propose, design, implement, and validate process improvements
throughout the facility. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include
the following. Other duties may be assigned. Perform process and system
evaluation of production and production support processes. Identify,
define, and lead continuous improvement projects to improve overall
efficiencies and reduce downtime and waste. Plans and implements the
design of plants, offices, and production lines to maximize the use of
available space and improve production efficiency. Actively participate
in Continuous Improvement Initiatives by leading and supporting projects
using Lean and Six Sigma principles. Estimates costs related to layout
