Summary You will serve as the AAG Fleet Support Team (FST) Lead in the SE & ALRE Group, ALRE Department of NAVAIRWARCENADLKE. Responsibilities You will serve as the Fleet Support Team (FST) Engineering Lead and lead the in-service engineering activities for the Advanced Arresting Gear (AAG). You will assist the Fleet Support Team (FST) Site Lead in managing, coordinating, tracking, and executing all engineering products and services. You will coordinate with Senior Leadership, Fleet representatives, and other key stakeholders on troubleshooting and resolution of complex technical issues. You will provide technical oversight and direction to the engineering team related to assigned tasking. You will serve as the senior mentor for engineering personnel. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the DP-04 (equivalent to the GS-12/GS-13 level) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Integrating various engineering disciplines and technical efforts across the engineering team. 2) Leadership of a team of 6-10 engineers, including assigning tasks, setting priorities, and ensuring timely completion of projects. 3) Formulating solutions stressing reliability, maintainability, safety, quality, operational readiness and performance. 4) Possessing an extensive background and knowledge of Aircraft Launch & Recovery Equipment (ALRE) and/or Support Equipment in-service engineering, naval aviation and systems engineering principles, applying them directly to problem solving. 5) Maintaining strong communications with all stakeholders. Experience with direct communication with the Chief Engineers and program leadership. 6) Demonstrating a history of resolving equipment and operational problems. 7) Possessing strong mentoring skills and experience in developing personnel. Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position. OR Current registration as an Engineer Intern (EI), Engineer in Training (EIT), or licensure as a Professional Engineer (PE) by any State, the District of Columbia, Guam, or Puerto Rico. Ordinarily, there should be either an established plan of intensive training to develop professional engineering competence, or several years of prior professional engineering-@type experience, e.g., in interdisciplinary positions.
