Summary
We're seeking an Engineering Assistant to provide day-to-day leadership and coordination for our team of engineering technicians. This role blends technical capability with team guidance, process organization, and cross-department communication. You'll work closely with engineering, production, and management to keep work moving efficiently while fostering a productive, collaborative environment.
What You'll Do
Team Leadership & Communication
Live and model our core values while inspiring your team by example.
Communicate clearly and confidently across production, engineering, management, and the technician team.
Manage attendance, timesheets, call-offs, and PTO requests.
Provide performance insights and feedback to the Engineering & Electrical (EE) Manager.
Support healthy team dynamics-addressing interpersonal issues, guiding productivity, and looping in HR or leadership when needed.
Training & Development
Identify training needs and coordinate skill-building opportunities for the technician team.
Support the growth and success of each technician through guidance, coaching, and resource planning.
Technical Support & Workflow Management
Serve as the primary point of contact for:
Test cable and test box requests
Rework and proto@type requests
Process training needs
Troubleshooting ticket communications
Capacity and workload updates
Work closely with electrical engineering to manage and prioritize:
Troubleshooting and product testing requests
Test equipment calibration
Test box and test cable development
Engineering NPI and prototyping
Rework projects
Support for the RMA team
Continuous Improvement
Maintain a shared database of department tasks.
Identify opportunities to enhance processes, equipment, and workflow efficiency.
Collaborate with engineering to implement improvements.
Create or revise ATP, ESS, and calibration documents as needed.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Represent the technician team in engineering, production, sales, planning, and other meetings.
What We're Looking For
High School Diploma or GED
10+ years of experience in a technically related field
Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to guide, motivate, and develop others
A strong technical aptitude and passion for problem-solving

Compensation & Benefits:
Base salary: $26 - $33/hour, influenced by several factors including experience, skill set, education, certifications, market conditions, and business needs.
