3rd shift : 9pm - 7am (Sunday- Thursday)

Job Description

As a Warehouse Worker, you will be responsible for packaging bundles by securing metal strapping around the width and length of materials. You will ensure the proper placement of paper corner protectors to safeguard customers' materials. Utilizing packaging equipment, you will tighten metal strapping around bundles and verify that parts are produced to the correct size. The role requires skilled use of material handling equipment, such as cranes, forklifts, and side loaders, in situations requiring care. You will read work order instructions, safety, and policy manuals, and use tape measures, calipers, gauges, or micrometers.

Responsibilities

Package bundles by applying metal strapping.

Place paper corner protectors according to specifications.

Use packaging equipment to secure metal strapping.

Check parts for correct size production.

Operate material handling equipment such as cranes and forklifts.

Read work order instructions and safety manuals.

Utilize tape measures, calipers, gauges, or micrometers.

Essential Skills

General labor and material handling experience.

Ability to read measurements accurately.

Experience operating forklifts and overhead cranes.

Proficiency with hand and power tools.

Safety-oriented mindset.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Operation of forklifts, tow motors, and overhead cranes.

Experience with hand and power tools.

Work Environment

The position offers a base pay rate with a $1 shift differential for third shift employees. The third shift operates from 9 PM to 7 AM, Monday through Thursday, with optional overtime on Fridays. There is rotating mandatory overtime on the third Friday of each month from 9 PM to 5 AM. Candidates should be comfortable working on the third shift for at least six months, with the possibility of moving to the first shift depending on openings. The work environment is very clean and organized, with large equipment and a focus on safety.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wooster, OH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $19.50/hr.
