Branch Accountant

Description

Robert Half is looking for a detail-oriented Accountant to join our client in the Cedar Valley. This role is ideal for someone eager to contribute their accounting expertise while supporting the financial operations of the branch. You will play a key part in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with corporate tax regulations.

Responsibilities:

Prepare and submit corporate tax returns in compliance with federal and state regulations.

Manage sales tax reporting and ensure timely filings.

Oversee journal entries, ensuring accuracy and proper documentation.

Maintain and reconcile the general ledger to support financial reporting.

Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable processes efficiently.

Assist in balancing branch finances and support the Controller in offloading tasks.

Conduct regular audits of financial transactions to ensure compliance.

Collaborate with team members to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency.

Provide clear and accurate financial data to assist in decision-making.

Respond promptly to inquiries regarding financial matters from internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

Minimum of 1 year of experience in accounting or a related field.

Knowledge of journal entries and general ledger reconciliation.

Familiarity with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with stakeholders.

Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications.
