Staff Accountant

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Rancho Cucamonga, California. In this Contract to permanent position, you will play a key part in managing financial records and ensuring compliance with accounting standards within the telecom services industry. If you excel at balancing accounts, preparing financial reports, and working collaboratively with internal teams, we encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities:

Prepare monthly financial statements and related supporting schedules with accuracy and attention to detail.

Perform general ledger reviews, entries, and reconciliations to maintain compliance with accounting standards.

Process and post Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable transactions, ensuring proper coding and timeliness.

Reconcile bank accounts, credit card accounts, and other balance sheet items to ensure accurate records.

Monitor cash flow and track outstanding receivables and payables to support financial planning.

Assist in month-end close processes, including journal entries, accruals, and variance analysis.

Maintain detailed and organized accounting records for internal audits and reporting purposes.

Collaborate with the Controller to support budgeting efforts and financial reporting needs.

Ensure adherence to internal policies and procedures by monitoring compliance.

Work with internal teams to address billing discrepancies, payment issues, and vendor inquiries promptly. Requirements - Proficiency in corporate tax, including sales tax and corporate tax returns.

Strong knowledge of journal entries and general ledger processes.

Familiarity with construction accounting principles and AIA billing.

Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and VLOOKUP.

Experience in managing detailed financial records and reconciliations.

Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent communication skills to coordinate with internal teams and vendors.

Strong analytical skills to identify and resolve discrepancies effectively.
