Description

We are looking for a skilled Accountant to join our team in Allentown, Pennsylvania. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a dynamic accounting department while honing your expertise in financial management and reporting. The ideal candidate will play a key role in maintaining accurate records, ensuring compliance, and supporting organizational goals.

Responsibilities:

Prepare and manage general accounting tasks, ensuring accurate and timely financial operations.

Assist in generating periodic financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and profit and loss statements.

Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are properly recorded.

Process invoices, create new accounts, reconcile financial records, and oversee monthly account closures.

Perform monthly bank reconciliations, verify deposits, and address inquiries from banking institutions.

Manage accounts receivable collections and reconcile customer accounts to ensure prompt payments.

Verify invoice payments related to accounts payable and allocate expenses to appropriate accounts.

Support the Controller with month-end closings, annual reviews, and required accounting filings.

File tax forms with federal, state, and local agencies in compliance with regulations.

Collaborate with software vendors to optimize accounting systems and recommend updates for improved functionality.

Requirements - Proficiency in accounting software systems and enterprise resource planning (ERP) tools.

Strong understanding of general accounting principles and practices.

Experience managing accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes.

Ability to perform in-depth account reconciliations and audits with accuracy.

Solid knowledge of balance sheet account management and financial reporting.

Familiarity with filing tax forms and ensuring compliance with government regulations.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in handling financial data.

Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively within a team environment.
