Our Legal & Global Affairs department, including the Global Ethics & Compliance Management team, ensures the highest standards of accountability while partnering with executives to support the Company's global success. This position currently reports to the Deputy General Counsel, Deputy Chief Compliance Officer and supports a team of attorneys and non-attorneys. The role requires a high level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information, as well as professional decorum to represent and interface with senior executives both inside and outside the Company. In this position, you will be part of a dynamic team that drives forward initiatives critical to protecting the Company's reputation and ensuring business is conducted with integrity.
You would be responsible for the day-to-day workings of the leader(s) you support. It goes without saying that there will be heavy calendar setting and expense reports, but this job is very much about people . The relationship you form with the executives you support is absolutely critical because that's what enables you to become a true partner. In addition to understanding your executive's business -- and business needs -- inside and out, you'll also need deep knowledge of the leadership of the legal department and savviness about our businesses. As the "face" of your executive(s) within The Walt Disney Company, your professionalism, loyalty and attitude are a reflection of the office, and as such, are a key component to its success. What You Will Do:
Conduct research, fact-check existing work, and prepare regular reports and summaries - you'll have tasks that you own completely and will provide regular assistance on others
Assist with regularly scheduled training for various Disney audiences, including set up and emceeing video conferences
Create a multi-city, sometimes global, travel itinerary, taking into account time zones, weather delays, traffic and fatigue levels
Interface directly with other senior executives and their support teams - your ability to work well with people on all levels and build relationships is a very important part of your job
Review your leader's schedule to build-in time for things like thinking and traveling to their next meeting
Understand the day's priorities so you can be strategic about how you manage planning and scheduling
Schedule conference rooms, meetings and video chats
Be ready to throw the entire schedule out the door when an emergency comes up, then pick it up again when the dust settles
Handle extremely confidential, sensitive information, remembering that Disney is a publicly traded company
Draft letters, emails, and slide decks on behalf of your leaders and proofread documents created by others
Assist with on-boarding new employees - you'll be the friendly face that newcomers rely on to answer all their questions, including some who are extremely senior in the organization
Manage purchase orders and vendor contracts
Plan events and team-building activities
Required Qualifications & Skills:
At least 7 or more years supporting a Vice President and/or equivalent experience
Sharp written and verbal communication skills, including flawless grammar and a rich vocabulary
Desire to immerse yourself fully and learn all aspects of your executive's business
Ability to multi-tasks in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment while prioritizing deadlines/deliverables
Strong proficiency with all @types of computers, phones and office equipment, as well as mastery of Microsoft Office programs and working in a Windows environment, SAP and, Concur
A calm head and steady hand to deal with the unexpected

Complete reliability handling confidential, often highly sensitive information

The hiring range for this position in Burbank, CA is $79,400 to $106,400 per year based on a 40 hour work week. The amount of hours scheduled per week may vary based on business needs. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
