AWS Platform Architect

CTG is seeking to fill an AWS Platform Architect position for our client.

Location: Remote

Duration: 9 months

Duties:

Design, architect, and implement AWS-based solutions that meet business requirements, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.

Set up and configure AWS resources, including EC2 instances, S3 storage, VPCs, RDS databases, ELBs, and ALBs to support business applications.

Monitor AWS resources, troubleshoot issues, and maintain high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) configurations.

Implement and enforce security policies to ensure compliance with organizational standards and industry regulations.

Optimize AWS costs through right-sizing, cost-effective solutions, and usage monitoring.

Collaborate with development teams for successful deployment and integration of AWS-based solutions.

Apply DevOps practices, including continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD).

Utilize automation tools such as AWS CloudFormation or Terraform for provisioning and management.

Manage cloud migration projects, including assessment, design, and execution.

Configure and maintain Kubernetes clusters using Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS) for container orchestration and scaling.

Skills:

Deep proficiency in AWS services: EC2, S3, VPC, RDS, EKS, and ELB/ALB management.

Strong Linux and VMware knowledge.

Experience with cloud security, HA/DR planning, and cost optimization strategies.

Expertise in DevOps and automation tools (CI/CD, CloudFormation, Terraform).

Container orchestration and management with Kubernetes/EKS.

Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and performance optimization skills.

Experience:

Proven experience designing and deploying enterprise-grade AWS solutions.

Hands-on experience with AWS architecture, cloud migrations, and cost optimization.

Experience in CI/CD implementation and DevOps practices in cloud environments.

Experience managing Kubernetes clusters in production environments.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Relevant AWS certifications (AWS Solutions Architect - Professional, AWS DevOps Engineer, etc.) are preferred.

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $38.00 to $47.00/hour. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to salary, a competitive benefit package is also offered.
