Summary You will serve as an INDUSTRIAL EQUIPEMENT MECHANIC LEADER in the Production Department, Shop 99 of PSNS and IMF. Responsibilities You will lead qualified employees in accomplishing the servicing, repair, troubleshooting and maintenance of utility systems. You will identify the method of operation and function of valves, switches, electrical controls, and other devices to properly operate utility systems. You will select proper material and install correctly valving, pressure reducing valves, relief valves, etc. on utility systems. You will distribute and balance workload in accordance with the controls sequence and assure completion of assigned work. You will monitor the status and progress of work making adjustments in accordance with priorities set forth in pre-shift briefings. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most trade and labor occupations, you must show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position at the level for which you are applying. Qualification requirements emphasis is on quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time. This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job.
