DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As an Accountant 2, you will be designated as the Program's Single Audit Coordinator. As such, you will be responsible for the analyzation and development of responses to any exceptions identified in the Independent Audit of the Counties MH/DS Program, related to individual areas of responsibility. Your duties will also include assisting in developing a Corrective Action Plan, responsibility for all provider-monitoring activities, and budget oversight of the MH/DS program provider services contracts. Work also involves preparing monthly invoices; reconciling all accounts related to special grant programs; reviewing contracted provider year-end Income & Expenditure reports; reviewing and reporting mental health client count data; and reconciling the internal general ledger to the County general ledger on a quarterly basis

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: One year as an Accountant I;or Two years of professional accounting experience, and graduation from a four year college or university, including or supplemented by 15 credits in accounting. Four years of bookkeeping experience and 18 college credits in accounting may be substituted for college graduation.
