Sales Engineer

Responsibilities

Select, configure, and price highly technical/engineered equipment.

Respond to day-to-day business inquiries and technical clarifications from representatives and customers.

Prepare formal quotations in line with pricing strategies, ensuring optimal engineered solutions.

Provide remote field support as a technical center of excellence for aftermarket pump and equipment product lines.

Recommend product improvements to engineering teams to meet market needs.

Work cross-functionally between projects, pumps, and parts.

Manage multiple projects through quotation and technical clarification cycles.

Essential Skills

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is preferred.

0-3 years' experience in technical industrial sales/engineering with pumps, rotating equipment, or the manufacturing industry is preferred.

Ability to quickly learn pumps, motors, mechanical seals, controls, and related accessories.

Technical understanding of pump operation, performance, and application.

Experience in interpreting specifications into a commercial offering.

Knowledge of contract review and terms & conditions, with negotiation skills.

Ability to work in a team and collaborate with other departments.

Capability to multi-task and make accurate decisions based on available information.

Proficiency in reading drawings and understanding technical specifications.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Montgomery, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $36.06 - $38.46/hr.
