Summary This vacancy is for a Executive Protection Agent in the Office of the Secretary within the Department of Commerce. This is an open and continuous announcement. Responsibilities As a Executive Protection Agent you will perform the following duties: Plan, coordinate, and execute protective operations in support of the Department of Commerce (DOC) to ensure the safety of DOC executive leadership, high-ranking officials, and other designated individuals at elevated risk due to their positions, duties, or public visibility. Develop comprehensive protective service plans for executives and other high-profile personnel, both for routine operations and during official travel or public engagements. Integrate threat assessments, route and venue security, contingency planning, and logistical coordination to ensure secure movement and continuity of operations. Conduct threat-focused protective operations involving senior officials, foreign dignitaries, and other designated personnel to be protected. Supporting security planning efforts with a primary emphasis on identifying, investigating, and mitigating potential threats. Execute investigative and operational activities to detect, deter, and apprehend individuals or groups posing threats to protected persons. Conduct physical surveillance and threat assessments, and utilize intelligence-driven methodologies to neutralize risks before or during events. Work closely with DOC's Office of Security and interagency protective service units. Collaborates with federal, state, and local law enforcement partners to develop actionable intelligence and facilitate joint apprehension operations when required.
