Job Title: Staff Accountant IIJob Description

Join our finance team as a Staff Accountant II, where you will play a pivotal role in supporting the finance department's operations and management. You will report directly to the Assistant Controller and contribute to the financial health of our organization.

Responsibilities

Perform bank reconciliations.

Prepare and file sales and use tax returns.

Conduct monthly reconciliation of company's sales by state.

Manage account reconciliations.

Oversee daily service capitalization.

Maintain business forecasts.

Assist in month-end close activities, including journal entries.

Maintain fixed assets records.

Manage the company's credit card process.

Support fiscal year-end close.

Act as a backup for accounts payable.

File year-end 1099's and manage W9's.

Perform additional duties as assigned by the manager.

Essential Skills

Proficiency in reconciliation processes.

Experience with month-end and year-end closing procedures.

Knowledge of accounts payable and fixed assets management.

Understanding of general ledger and journal entries.

Familiarity with financial statements, financial reporting, and GAAP.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred.

Strong attention to detail.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Effective time management abilities.

Self-motivated and proactive approach.

Problem-solving skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Knowledge of Power BI.

Work Environment

Work on-site from Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm. Join a growing team within an organization offering ample opportunities for internal growth.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of East Longmeadow, MA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $65000.00 - $75000.00/yr.

Will be provided by client once an offer is extended.

Workplace Type

This is a fully onsite position in East Longmeadow,MA.
