Job Title: Mechanic

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled mechanic to join our team, responsible for diagnosing and repairing mechanical issues. This role involves managing parts inventory, documenting work orders, and supporting entry-level mechanics with complex repairs. You will collaborate with vendors and interact with drivers across various roles.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair mechanical issues promptly and efficiently.

Manage parts inventory and document work orders accurately.

Support entry-level mechanics with complex repairs and provide guidance as needed.

Collaborate with vendors to source parts and materials.

Interact with drivers to understand and address their mechanical concerns.

Essential Skills

Proficiency in diesel troubleshooting and repair.

Strong understanding of preventive maintenance, hydraulics, and electrical systems.

Ability to diagnose and inspect mechanical issues thoroughly.

Experience in fleet maintenance and diesel engine maintenance.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Willingness to obtain a CDL, with company support.

Must be at least 21 years of age.

Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in tight spaces.

Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and off-shifts.

Experience working under trucks for extended shifts (8-12 hours).

Ownership of a basic set of tools.

Work Environment

You will be working in a small shop with only one bay, providing a more relaxed and less fast-paced environment. This role requires flexibility with working hours, including weekends, holidays, and off-shifts.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Batesville, AR.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
