Industrial Maintenance Technician

Job Description

We are looking to hire an industrial maintenance technician for a client in Rock Island, IL. This role involves repairing, improving, and conducting regular maintenance on fixtures and equipment. The position ensures that the primary production lines meet or exceed safety, quality, reliability, cost, capability, and capacity requirements. Although this is a 1st shift position, the role requires flexibility to float and cover other shifts when needed.

Responsibilities

Follow preventive maintenance work orders and complete them in a timely manner.

Inspect, maintain, and repair physical assets and infrastructure.

Record activities, supplies, and necessary components.

Read blueprints, schematics, and diagrams to evaluate needs and project plans.

Train on and maintain robotic programming and robot operational preventive maintenance on assembly lines.

Assist with new equipment installations for lines.

Assist with setups on robotic welding systems.

Essential Skills

3-5 years of experience in a maintenance technician position in a manufacturing environment.

Electrical troubleshooting skills.

Mechanical troubleshooting skills.

Knowledge of electrical relays and switches.

Understanding of mechanical and hydraulic systems.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Knowledge of heat treatment procedures, machine shop operations and processes, welding, paint, and tool and die practices.

Work Environment

The position is based in a factory setting, where exposure to dirt, grit, noise, and dust is common. Protective clothing and safety equipment are required. The facility is typically lit with fluorescent or LED lights. The role may involve working in various weather conditions and temperatures within the warehouse and on the loading dock.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rock Island, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $31.00 - $34.00/hr.
