Now Hiring: Senior Mechanical Engineer

Location: New York, NY (Hybrid - Office in Midtown)

Job Type: Contract to Hire, Full-Time

Compensation: Competitive, with benefits upon conversion

We are seeking an intermediate to experienced Mechanical Engineer to join a collaborative team working on high-profile, multimillion-dollar projects. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with the Engineering Principal and Project Engineer across all phases of project delivery, with potential for long-term growth and partnership.

Key Responsibilities

Manage multiple projects concurrently with clear internal communication.

Perform mechanical load calculations and equipment sizing.

Prepare mechanical drawings, piping diagrams, plans, and schedules.

Review shop drawings for accuracy and compliance.

Conduct detailed site surveys.

Apply working knowledge of mechanical and building codes.

Required Skills & Experience

8+ years of professional experience in mechanical engineering.

Expert proficiency in Revit for 3D drafting.

Proficiency in AutoCAD.

Strong experience in HVAC design, mechanical load calculations, and equipment sizing.

Familiarity with boilers, chillers, and pumps.

Solid understanding of mechanical and building codes.

Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME).

Preferred Qualifications

Willingness to travel (infrequent, may include out-of-state projects).

Experience with a variety of systems including HVAC, pumps, chillers, and boilers.

PE license not required.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of New York, NY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $75.00/hr.
