Medical Office Assistant

Our esteemed client, one of the top health systems in the DMV area, is currently hiring for a Certified or Registered Medical Assistant. This role is ideal for professionals who thrive in patient-facing environments and are passionate about delivering exceptional care and support.

Location: Olney, MD

Schedule: Monday - Friday

Shift: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (8-Hour Shift)

Pay Rate: $20-25/HR (Depending on Experience)

Key Responsibilities

· Receive and screen telephone calls, provide information per department/hospital policy, and route calls appropriately.

· Schedule and coordinate patient appointments, ensuring relevant diagnostic test results are obtained prior to visits.

· Register patients in the hospital's registration system and applicable department systems.

· Prepare patients to be seen by physicians; escort them to examination rooms and record information in charts.

· Assist physicians during examinations and procedures.

Qualifications

Certified or Registered Medical Assistant (required)

Will consider candidates who are not a CMA or RMA, if experience is over 6 years and have plan to take CMA or RMA test

Experience with patient registration systems

Strong knowledge of healthcare terminology & EMR experience

Excellent communication and organizational skills

Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Olney, MD.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
