Description

We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee financial operations within the construction industry. This role requires strong leadership skills and the ability to manage accounting processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance. The ideal candidate will excel in project accounting and have a deep understanding of industry-specific financial practices. This is an on-site role in NWI offering a salary between 85K-115K plus bonus. Benefits include medical, dental and vision insurance and 401K/Profit Sharing.

Responsibilities:

Supervise and guide the accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to maintain accuracy and efficiency.

Manage project accounting functions, including tracking costs and ensuring proper allocation of resources.

Prepare, review, and analyze month-end close reports to ensure completeness and compliance.

Oversee the preparation and reconciliation of general ledger accounts to support accurate financial reporting.

Lead the creation and submission of lien waivers, ensuring adherence to industry standards.

Collaborate with team members to support financial audits and provide necessary documentation.

Implement and monitor job costing procedures to maintain project profitability.

Generate and analyze financial statements to provide insights into organizational performance.

Ensure the proper recording of journal entries and maintain detailed financial records.

Utilize Excel to streamline accounting processes and enhance reporting capabilities.

Requirements - Proven experience in accounting management within the construction industry.

Proficiency in project accounting and job costing methodologies.

Advanced knowledge of Excel, including formulas and data analysis.

Strong understanding of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

Expertise in general ledger management and account reconciliation.

Familiarity with preparing and analyzing financial statements and reports.

Leadership abilities to guide and develop accounting teams.

Experience with month-end close procedures and financial audits.
