Accounts Receivable Specialist

Description We are looking for a dedicated Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team in West Bend, Wisconsin. In this long-term contract role, you will play a key part in managing financial transactions and ensuring accuracy in accounts receivable processes. This position offers an excellent opportunity to utilize your expertise in billing, collections, and account reconciliations while contributing to the overall success of the organization.

Responsibilities:

Process invoices by matching, batching, and coding them accurately into the system.

Post and reconcile batches to ensure financial data integrity.

Investigate and resolve discrepancies related to accounts receivable, collaborating with customers or vendors as needed.

Update sub-ledgers and reconcile them to the general ledger for precise accounting records.

Manage cash applications, including account reconciliations and handling chargebacks.

Oversee billing operations and ensure the timely issuance of invoices.

Handle credit memos and related adjustments to maintain accurate account balances.

Support collection efforts by addressing overdue accounts and maintaining clear and attentive communication with commercial clients.

Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards in all activities. Requirements - Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts receivable or a related field.

Proficiency in accounts receivable processes, including billing and collections.

Strong knowledge of commercial collections and credit memo management.

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial recordkeeping.

Familiarity with account reconciliations and general ledger updates.

Effective problem-solving skills to address discrepancies and resolve issues.

Strong communication abilities for interacting with customers and vendors.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
