This position supports all areas of the Finance department including but not limited to Accounting, Financial Planning, Budget, (Capital and Operating, Rates and Treasury. Provides support on special projects and with operational needs within various areas of the Finance department with specific focus during times of high activity. This role will be focused on learning to apply standards and developing an understanding of the business.

Perform entry level analytical assignments and reconciliations related to operating and capital budgets, FP&A, Rates, Treasury, Property Accounting and Financial Reporting

Build detailed financial models to evaluate business performance under various operating scenarios and to analyze the impacts of various capital structures and strategic opportunities

Compile and summarize complex data, ideas and concepts into meaningful and concise financial reports

Analyze financial data and make recommendations based on that data, such as counterparty credit risk analysis and evaluation of strategic business opportunities

Assist in preparation of journal entries, financial statements, and footnote disclosures

Prepare management reporting, analysis of key business trends, actual versus budget variance and comprehensive executive-level explanations of differences

Perform economic research and studies in areas of rates of return, depreciations, working capital requirements, investment opportunities, investment performance and impact of governmental requirements

Aid in the preparation of financial reports and presentations

Provide support to other departments on an ad-hoc basis

Perform research tasks related to benchmarks, industry trends and financial topics

Knowledge, skills and abilities:

Demonstrated education in Finance, General Business, Accounting or Economics

Communicates ideas both verbally and in written form in a clear, concise, and professional manner.

Ability to analyze and solve problems using learned techniques and tools.

Analytical and statistical examination skills.

Ability to understand and apply learned concepts.

Attention to detail, accuracy and confidentiality.

Proficient in Microsoft Office

Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business, or related field required.

/**/The salary range for this position is at minimum $60,000 to a midpoint of $80,000 annually. Total compensation is commensurate with education, licenses, certifications, skills, and experience.
