Lockheed Martin Aeronautics is seeking a full-time Early Career Manufacturing Engineer. Manufacturing Engineers provide support for all stages of a platform's program lifecycle. The Manufacturing Engineering (ME) discipline is consulted and responsible for manufacturing plan development, full-rate production standup and support, and post-delivery sustainment and modification activities. MEs are integral at every program stage for efficient and effective aircraft production.

This position will be embedded in detailed manufacturing plans, concepts, processes, and procedures. The day-to-day tasking will include working with shop floor personnel, design engineering, quality engineering, industrial engineering, and other engineering disciplines to support production of our various platforms.

This position required a detail-oriented and organized candidate with demonstrated technical proficiency and capability. Strong communication skills - written and verbal - are required to successfully interface with various departments within Aero.

Must be a US Citizen. This position is at a facility that requires special access.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a technology-related degree plan, e.g., Manufacturing Engineering, Manufacturing Systems Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering Technology, Manufacturing & Mechanical Engineering Technology, Product Design and Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering Technology, or Aeronautics Engineering Technology.

Other degrees within consideration include: Product Engineering and Assembly, Manufacturing Quality and Productivity, Manufacturing System Design, Process and Product Engineering, Materials and Manufacturing Processes, Manufacturing Process and Tool Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aero Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering.

Desire to obtain an Operations role indicated by expressing interest in 'hands-on' applications of engineering and manufacturing principles.

Demonstrated proficiency with MS office, Excel, and PowerPoint

Desired Skills:

Member of the Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME), Society of Automotive Engineers, (SAE), American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), or other similar technical organization

Design, build club/project experience (i.e., SAE Formula and Baja)

Ability to work in a collaborative and team-based environment

Previous manufacturing/operations experience

Strong oral and written communication skills.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
