What You'll Achieve
The Staff Software Engineer will deliver new functionality to the Lotame SaaS platform through hands-on coding as well as leading through some combination of product discovery, architecture, design, process and people. Lotame's close-knit engineering teams work in scrum teams of 4-6 people each, operating in 2-week sprints and 10-week increments that ensure their efforts deliver business value. The successful candidate will therefore demonstrate the ability to work with product leaders and technology peers to coordinate and deliver these software solutions. They will also have the ability to mentor, guide, and motivate team members, ensuring those team members are engaged and successful in their work and in their Lotame careers.
How You'll Make an Impact:
Work with Technology & Product team members to define and refine requirements in an Agile environment as a lead engineer on a scrum team.
Design approaches and write the software to implement new features and improve existing ones.
Own the definition of new capabilities and coordinate their implementation with other team members.
Who You Are
Required
A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or other engineering field is preferred, but not required based on experience.
10+ of experience as a software engineer with the ability to decompose complex problems and create simple solutions;
7+ years of experience with building Java services and applications of all sorts from sub-100ms web services to big-data crunching batch applications. This includes knowledge of JVM tuning to get the most from less;
5+ years of SQL/SparkSQL/HiveQL @type database experience including query tuning.
3+ years working in a cloud based environment, preferably AWS and have the experience to know the uniqueness of building for the cloud versus on-premises.
2+ years of being a leader within an engineering team.
Strong communication and collaboration skills with an ability to work with team members in an agile scrum environment;
Self-motivation to work independently when needed while also participating within a high performing team;
Strong, working knowledge of Java and/or Python;
Comfort working with Git, Maven;
Nice-to-have:
Knowledge of advertising operations and technology;
Experience with cloud-based technologies, specifically Amazon Web Services (AWS)
Experience with build and deploy pipelines along with the knowledge to create your own;
Experience with Containers, Puppet, AWS Cloudformation or similar;
Experience with Authentication systems, SAML 2, LDAP, etc;

Base Salary: $105,000 - $195,000
Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon, but not limited to the individual's skills, experience, qualifications, location and application employment laws. The salary pay range is subject to change and may be modified at any time.
