As a Software Engineer Principal within PNC's Lending Technology organization. You will be based either in Pittsburgh, PA or Dallas, TX . The position is primarily based in a PNC location. Responsibilities require time in the office or in the field on a regular basis. Some responsibilities may be performed remotely, at the manager's discretion.

Must Have Skills:

-Multiple years of experience in software development with strong focus on Java / J2EE technologies.

-Proven experience in programming microservices-based applications.

-Strong knowledge of Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Hibernate, REST APIs.

-Hands-on experience writing queries with Oracle and MSSQL Databases.

-Good understanding of containerization technologies like OCP, Docker, Kubernetes

-Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git, Jenkins, and automated testing tools.

-Strong problem-solving skills and ability to lead technical teams.

-Provides technical guidance and support to colleagues and solution development.

Preferred Skills:

-Certifications in AWS/Azure/GCP or Java technologies.

-Experience with event-driven architecture, messaging systems like Kafka or RabbitMQ.

-Exposure to SAFE Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Job Description

Aligns business strategy with software solutions.

Proposes, designs & codes software solutions to address complex business needs. Oversees technical and procedural documentation required.

Leads complex problem solving.

Provides technical guidance and support to colleagues and solution development.

Displays an innovative approach to apply modern principles, methodologies and tools to advance business initiatives and capabilities.
