Software Engineer

Responsible for end to end feature development. Analyze, reproduce, debug, and resolve issues reported by internal and/or external customers in a timely manner.

Deliver maintenance/patch release for a given schedule.

Be a technical lead for a small team of 1-3 engineers.

Provide guidance and work with local partner/contractor staff.

Work with engineering teams across globe. Occasional travel is required.

Train and mentor junior members of the team

Ability to learn new technologies quickly

Should be able to move from one assignment to another quickly with little to no ramp up time

Experience in C and C++ programming

Experience with open source tools/environment like Git/Stash, Jenkins, JIRA, Confluence, valgrind, gtest/gmock, Sonarcube, Fisheye/Crucible

Experience with embedded real time operating systems, embedded real time Linux is a plus

Experience in SONET/SDH/OTN/ROADM/Ethernet services

Should have good experience of scripting/automation, Python is plus

Experience in YANG/ConfD/SDN/SNMP/NetConf/REST is a definite plus

Should have strong analytical and debugging skills

Should have 9+ years of work experience

Should be able to demonstrate capability to lead a small team

Good communication skills for regular interactions with internal and external teams

Exposure to sound software engineering practices/Agile is a plus

Qualifications:

BE/BTECH/ME/MTECH in CS/EE/ECE is preferred
