The Governor's Office of Community Service (GOCS), also known as ServeMontana, is looking for a Administrative Specialist to join our team in a 32 hour per week capacity. In this role, reporting to the Director, the successful candidate will bring skills and experience to provide support for the Office and its initiatives. The overarching goal of the position is to support the Commission on Community Service, the Director, and staff team to sustain high performance with a culture of positive customer service, attitude of excellence, and accountability. This position also offers communications responsibilities such as creative graphic and social media content development that aligns with a range of branding and messaging requirements. The Administrative Specialist will work independently and with a dynamic team to support recurring activities such as AmeriCorps grant reviews, ServeMontana Awards, the Gift of Life Ceremony, and the ServeMontana Symposium. The Administrative Specialist will have a leadership role in the annual Youth Serve Montana Scholarships and will assist the staff team to serve AmeriCorps programs with marketing, training, and recruitment. The Administrative Specialist will assist in office administration by preparing for meetings, arranging logistics, running social media, and generating logos and content. The Specialist will manage administrative and outreach functions, including documenting procedures, drafting correspondence and reports, ordering supplies, and maintaining spreadsheets and electronic files. The Administrative Specialist will build positive professional relationships with community partners and will represent GOCS well during events, with the Commission on Community Service, the Office of the Governor, AmeriCorps, members of the public, and other affiliates. The Administrative Specialist will occasionally travel in-state to attend national service events, meet with partners, attend conferences and trainings such as the annual State Tribal Relations Training, Montana Nonprofit Association annual conference, and other development opportunities as time and budget allows.
