What you'll do...
Role summary:
The Director, Finance, will lead a team and support and drive regional field support of our Clubs by collaborating across Operations and cross-functional teams to align corporate goals with financial targets and risk assessments. This role drives business performance analysis, supports budgeting processes, and enhances financial reporting transparency. Along with that, it will support new clubs, remodels, and competition strategic implementation in partnership with Real Estate. The Director will influence key business decisions while developing a high-performing team, and foster a culture of integrity, continuous improvement, and talent development while promoting operational excellence and effective resource management.
About the team:
The Operations Finance team supports regional field associates and various operational areas including labor planning, incentives, asset protection, fulfillment, fresh operations and more. This team drives financial strategy by partnering across departments to enhance operational efficiency and align financial planning with business goals. They provide critical insights through financial analysis, forecasting, and modeling to support decision-making and risk management. The team fosters collaboration to ensure accurate financial reporting and continuous improvement, contributing to Walmart's commitment to operational excellence and sustainable growth.
What you'll do:
Drive long-term financial planning by collaborating with departments to align financial targets with corporate goals and assess risk levels.
Partner with senior management to analyze business performance, identify gaps, and support budget processes using historical and forecast data.
Manage control structures to mitigate financial misstatement risks and enhance transparency in financial reporting systems.
Drive development of complex financial models and prepare presentations to support strategic business decisions and communicate variances to leadership.
Lead business strategy development of in-club processes to optimize as well as new clubs, remodels, and competition approach.
What you'll bring:
Extensive experience in financial strategy, planning, and analysis within complex business environments.
Experience leading a high-performing team.
Proven ability to develop and communicate long-term financial plans aligned with corporate goals.
Strong expertise in financial modeling, forecasting, and variance analysis to support strategic decision-making.
Demonstrated skill in managing operating budgets and financial statements with accuracy and transparency.
Experience collaborating cross-functionally to assess risks and enhance financial controls and reporting.
Ability to lead and influence senior management through clear presentation of financial insights and recommendations.
Proficiency in driving continuous improvement and adopting innovative financial processes and technologies.

The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00 - $220,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location).
