The Sales and Customer Service Manager is a strategic leadership role that combines sales oversight with data-driven market analysis to drive earning before interest and taxes (EBIT) growth across the Consumer Product Materials and Tire Materials portfolios. This position acts as a vital link between commercial strategy and operational execution, supporting chemical operations in Niagara Falls and Bayport. It's not only focused on sales but also deeply involved in customer service, requiring a strong understanding of shipping and logistics-especially international processes. The role emphasizes optimizing customer engagement, demand planning, and market positioning.
What You'll Do
Drive sales and customer engagement by overseeing the chemical sales portfolio, ensuring alignment with business goals and EBIT targets, and building strong customer relationships.
Lead demand planning within the Sales and Operations Planning (SOP) process and support monthly sales execution from order entry through fulfillment.
Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, Manufacturing, Finance, Customer Service, Shipping, and Credit teams to ensure seamless service delivery and operational efficiency.
Monitor market and competitive factors including chemical markets, energy trends, pricing, and supply to adjust strategies quickly and maximize pricing opportunities.
Optimize financial performance by managing cash flow, inventory levels, and collection activities while analyzing external opportunities to meet P&L commitments.
Develop new business opportunities through market research and maintain accurate forecasts for major contractual accounts to support growth and diversification.
What We're Looking For
5 or more years of experience in Sales, Marketing, Purchasing, or Product Management.
Engineering and/or Field Sales background - Desired.
Successful track record with negotiations, supplier/customer relationships, management influence, and/or exceeding sales targets.
What Will Set You Apart
Knowledge of effective sales and marketing strategies.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to interface with customers at all levels of their organization (Purchasing, Technical, Manufacturing, and Executive).
Strong analytical, strategic, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in SAP - Desired.
