Description

We are looking for a dedicated Accounting Specialist to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Wilmington, Illinois. This role requires someone with strong attention to detail and expertise in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and inventory management. The position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a high-volume inventory project while supporting daily financial operations.

Responsibilities:

Perform accurate data entry for accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks using QuickBooks.

Process payments, post receivables, and reconcile accounts to ensure financial records are up-to-date.

Manage vendor invoices by coding, printing, and entering them into the system.

Conduct physical inventory counts and input data into Excel spreadsheets.

Review and match part prices from vendor-provided Excel downloads.

Maintain meticulous records and ensure all inventory data is accurately entered.

Assist with general billing functions, including filing and manual data entry.

Collaborate with the finance team to meet deadlines and complete month-end processes.

Support inventory cycle counts scheduled for late December and early January.

Handle additional administrative duties as needed to support financial operations.

The salary range for this position is $23 to $25/hr. Benefits available to contract/temporary professionals, include medical, vision, dental, and life and disability insurance. Requirements - Proven experience with QuickBooks for accounts payable and receivable tasks.

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions.

Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.

Prior experience in inventory management and physical inventory counts.

Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Solid understanding of general accounting principles and reconciliation processes.

Effective organizational and communication skills.

Availability to start immediately or within the next week.
