As Marcom's technology arm, Marcom Platforms & Services (MP&S) is an IS&T team specializing in advertising, marketing, production, social, and operations technology capabilities. Description

As a technical leader, you will drive AI/ML innovation across the Marketing landscape at Apple. You'll partner with engineering teams, product managers, designers, data scientists, and business stakeholders to identify transformational AI opportunities and architect solutions that scale from proof-of-concept to production systems impacting billions of users who interface with Apple. The ideal candidate is a seasoned technical leader who excels at cross-functional influence and can set technical direction for reimagining Marcom's workflows and content generation across Copy, Image, Motion, and UI. You'll define best practices, drive architectural decisions, and contribute to the technical roadmap for how Apple reimagines marketing, advertising, and social media through the lens of AI/ML. This role requires both hands-on technical depth and the ability to lead through influence, raising the bar for engineering excellence while mentoring teams across the organization to support AI adoption.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, AI, Machine Learning, or related field, or equivalent industry experience with demonstrated impact in production AI systems

12+ years of experience designing, building, and scaling systems for training, testing, and deploying Machine Learning models in production environments

Deep experience in Generative AI for creative content creation, including diffusion models for image/video generation and large language models for copy generation

Proven expertise with diffusion models such as Stable Diffusion, DALL-E, Midjourney, or similar platforms, with hands-on implementation experience

Experience designing and implementing agentic workflows using orchestration frameworks (e.g., LangGraph, LangChain, CrewAI, AutoGen, or similar tools)

Demonstrated ability to drive innovation in AI/ML, evidenced by one or more of the following:

Publications in top-tier venues such as (CVPR, ICML, ICLR, NeurIPS, ACL, EMNLP, etc.)

Significant contributions to open-source AI/ML projects

Patents or technical blog posts demonstrating novel approaches

Preferred Qualifications

Ph.D. in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Computer Vision, or related field

Experience with cloud AI platforms (GCP Vertex AI, AWS Bedrock, Azure ML) or equivalent large-scale ML infrastructure

Knowledge of AI alignment and fine-tuning strategies; such as, Reinforcement Learning from Human Feedback (RLHF), RLAIF (Reinforcement Learning from AI Feedback), DPO (Direct Preference Optimization) and beyond

Familiarity with 3D generation, NeRF, or spatial computing technologies

Experience with multimodal AI systems that combine text, image, video, and audio
