Boston Scientific will not offer sponsorship or take over sponsorship of an employment VISA for this position at this time About the role: The Peripheral Interventions (PI) Design Assurance organization at Boston Scientific is responsible for executing the activities necessary to ensure patient safety, product quality, regulatory compliance. As a Design Assurance Engineer Intern, you'll play a critical role in ensuring that product designs meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and regulatory compliance. You will build relationshidps with professionals in a diverse range of fields, inspiring people to embrace a culture of continuous improvement. This internship is ideal for students passionate about engineering, quality systems, and making a real-world impact through meticulous design and testing. This role will be based out of the Boston Scientific Arbor Lakes facility in Maple Grove, MN. Your responsibilities will include: Assist in design verification and validation activities, including test planning, execution, and documentation. Support risk management processes by contributing to Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and Hazard Analysis. Review design documentation to ensure compliance with internal standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., ISO, FDA). Collaborate with R&D and Quality teams to identify and resolve design-related issues. Participate in root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA). Help maintain Design History Files (DHF) and ensure traceability of requirements. Required Qualifications Must graduate between Fall 2026 and Spring 2027 Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Materials Science Must have at least one semester of school left post-internship Must be able to commit to one of the following full internship program periods: May 18th - August 7th OR May 26th - August 14th Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship, now or in the future, for employment-based work authorization Must have reliable transportation to and from the Boston Scientific Arbor Lakes facility in Maple Grove, MN.
