Job Description:

Role: Sr Data Scientist

Location: Hybrid - 4 days/week onsite in SE Michigan area

Duration: Long-term contract

Role Overview

As a Senior Data Scientist, you will play a critical role in transforming complex business challenges into data-driven solutions. You'll work with diverse datasets, build predictive models, and collaborate across teams to deploy scalable analytics that drive strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

Acquire, clean, and process real-world data from multiple sources for analysis and modeling.

Conduct thorough Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA) to uncover patterns, insights, and hypotheses.

Translate complex business questions into well-defined data science problems and analytical tasks.

Develop, train, and evaluate statistical and machine learning models for tasks such as prediction, classification, clustering, and forecasting.

Collaborate with engineering and product teams to deploy models into production, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance monitoring.

Communicate findings and model results effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Provide actionable business recommendations based on data insights.

Continuously iterate on models and approaches based on feedback and evolving business needs.

Stay current with advancements in data science, machine learning, and relevant technologies.

Required Skills

Proficiency in Python for data analysis and modeling.

Preferred Skills

Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including BigQuery and Cloud Run.

Experience

Required: 3 to 5 years of experience in a relevant data science or analytics role.

Preferred: Experience in the automotive industry.

Education

Required: Master's degree in a relevant field.

Note: Candidates with only a bachelor's degree will not be considered.
