Job Description
This position coordinates and oversees contracted maintenance activities in the Transportation Service Center (TSC) area which includes Baraga, Houghton, Keweenaw, Ontonagon and Marquette counties. Plan, budget, and monitor activities of contract counties, municipalities, and the private sector. Approve completed phases of work and authorize payment. Coordinate Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) activities for the purpose of partnering with cities, counties, other TSC's, Regions, and Lansing. Act as the liaison person with the Region Office to ensure continuity and cooperation with the Region and Statewide. Coordinate with the Transportation Maintenance Supervisors and Operations Engineer to assist the TSC Manager to develop a maintenance program for the Region and TSC. Participate in planning processes to coordinate maintenance work in the TSC area of operation; improve system conditions; maximize available resources. Act as Transportation First Responder (TFR) during emergencies.
This position requires possession of a valid driver's license to perform regular field inspections, field reviews, and act a TFR.

Paid Parental Leave:Eligible employees can take 12 weeks of paid leaveimmediately after a birth or adoption to allow needed time together at home with a new child.
Paid Holidays:Eligible employees receive 13 or 14 paid holidays each year including New Year's Eve and Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Presidents' Day, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, the Fourth of July, Labor Day, Election Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving, Thanksgiving Friday, Christmas Eve and Day.
