Cable Technician

TEKsystems is hiring Entry-Level Cable Technicians to support a high-visibility Data Center Fitout. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in structured cabling and infrastructure deployment while working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Technicians will assist with structured cabling, cable labeling, uplink installation, and server/switch support. Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, reliable, and eager to learn.

Key Responsibilities:

Install and label Cat6 and structured cabling

Support server and switch deployment

Assist with power-up and validation testing

Follow documentation and labeling best practices

Maintain safety standards and follow structured processes

Work collaboratively with team members and site leads

Top Skills Needed:

Cable installation and structured cabling

Labeling and documentation

Familiarity with server/switch setup

Basic understanding of low voltage systems

OSHA safety awareness

Qualifications:

Ability to follow instructions and work in a fast-paced environment

Strong attention to detail and punctuality

Must bring basic tools: drill, screwdrivers, steel-toed boots

Experience with Aconex or CxAlloy is a plus

Physical stamina to work on your feet and handle equipment

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Ashburn, VA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $28.00/hr.
