Job Title: IT Systems Technician

Location: Weaverville, NC

Reports to: IT Manager

Employment Type: Full-time

Job Function: Information Technology | Maintenance

Job Summary: Position is responsible for supporting end users both onsite and remotely by deploying new equipment and software and performing preventative maintenance on existing equipment. The person should have in-depth technical knowledge of IT end user support.

Key Responsibilities:

Ability to think strategically, manage time effectively, prioritize work according to severity.- Provide onsite/remote problem resolution for IT related hardware, software, and applications.- Resolve onsite/remote user-reported IT problems in a timely manner.- Install and maintain servers, desktops, and storage devices.- Provide ordering and coordination support for necessary onsite hardware and service requirements. - Provides training, troubleshooting, and support to network and communication system users.- Assist in configuration of desktops, laptops, and peripherals.- Coordinate IT related issues concerning infrastructure, applications, and business critical systems to appropriate resolution team.- Assist with automation projects from design and development through on-site installation and implementation.- Assist in the troubleshooting of PLC and robotic issues.- Develop data acquisition and visualization systems via SAP and Power Bi.- Installation and troubleshooting of AV equipment.

Required Qualifications:

Computer Science degree is highly desired. - Those who meet all other requirements with demonstrated experience in the field will be considered.

Physical Requirements:

Routinely lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and depth perception. - Routinely reach with hands and arms to handle or feel.- Frequently required to stand and walk.- Occasionally required to sit, stoop, kneel, or crouch.
