SUMMARY
Directs and coordinates activities of the mold, core, scheduling, pattern set-up, and melt operations by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervision.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Promotes safety awareness, accident prevention, and employee involvement regarding a safe work environment. Ensures employees understand the safety expectations of the organization.
Promotes the company culture, the mission and vision, and the core values of the company.
Ensures compliance with health and safety laws, regulations, and guidelines.
Promotes generally accepted lean manufacturing initiatives and concepts plantwide including but not limited to: Visual Factory, Six Sigma, 5-s and continuous improvement.
Confers with the Facility Manager to formulate and set strategies, policies and performance targets for their areas of responsibility.
Leads, manages and coordinates departments to achieve desired business unit results, and performance.
Communicates company philosophy to subordinate superintendents and supervisors and cascades company culture.
Reviews production schedules with Facility Manager to ascertain product data such as @types, quantities, and specifications of products and scheduled delivery dates to plan department operations.
Plans production operations, establishing priorities and sequences for manufacturing products.
Assists with operational schedules and coordinates manufacturing activities to ensure production and quality of products meets specifications.
Reviews production and operating reports and resolves manufacturing problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays.
Develops or revises standard operational and working practices.
Resolves employee relations issues that may arise in conjunction with the Human Resources Department.
Compiles, stores, and retrieves production data.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelors degree (B.A./B.S.) preferred. A minimum of five or more years of foundry experience required.

SUMMARY
Coordinates and takes lead role in activities related to the procuring of goods and services such as raw materials, equipment, tools, parts, and supplies for the company by performing the following duties:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Promotes the culture, the mission and vision, and the core values of the company. This includes adherence to and promotion of the company safety beliefs, employee engagement, competencies, code of conduct, and other policies and procedures.
Reviews requisitions and communicates with existing and/or potential vendors to obtain product or service information such as price, availability, and delivery schedule.
Selects products for purchase by testing, observing, or examining items. Estimates values according to awareness of market price.
Visits supplier facilities and applicable trade shows to stay updated on latest offering and developments.
Determines method of procurement such as direct purchase or bid.
Reviews bid proposals and negotiates contracts within budgetary limitations and scope of authority.
Prepares purchase orders and supporting processes.
Expedites delivery of goods to final location and users.
Maintains procurement records such as items or services purchased, costs, delivery, product quality or performance, and inventories.
Reviews defective or unacceptable goods or services with quality control personnel, users, vendors, and others to determine source of concern and take corrective action.
Approves invoices for payment.
Analyzes and distributes market analysis in support of procurement decision-making.
Utilization of systems to analyze data in support of effectiveness improvement of supply chains.
Reviews processes with internal and external stakeholders to increase alignment and gain efficiencies. Including but not limited to organization, documentation, testing, implementation, and/or training related activities.
Control identification of risks and mitigation measures. Including: procedural risk, contractual, business intelligence, and similar.
Acts as representative for procurement team in support of special projects as assigned.
Understanding of MRP software and project management principals and application.
QUALIFICATIONS
