Summary This position is located in the Prosthetics and Sensory Aids Service of the Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare System (CAVHS). CAVHS is a two division medical center with medical, surgical, psychiatric and rehab inpatients and a large outpatient program. The Prosthetics and Sensory Aids Service have offices in both divisions. The incumbents usually work in the North Little Rock office. Responsibilities Duties: Maintains stock levels for authorized items including equipment, property, publications, and forms. Maintains various supply data files such as supply action receipt files, supply back-order files, stock record change files, supply requisition files, etc. Contacts customers to obtain item and quantity requirements for recurring and nonrecurring items. Oversees all requests for services for prosthetic devices making final determination relating to eligibility and entitlement to such devices. Provides customers with consistent information according to established policies and procedures. Tracks purchase request entries through Share point website. Generates barcode labels for each item in stock. Researches and corrects automated supply transaction input and output errors or problems. Makes decisions on stock levels based on data history, purchase stock, receives stock and maintains stock to such levels to ensure timely care to patients but also to ensure the service is not overstocked. Determines replenishment for common, nonrecurring or items not previously ordered, such items associated with new workload, one-time modifications, or onetime special projects. Qualifications To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement, 11/18/2025. Time-In-Grade Requirement: Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-05 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-04. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials.
