Job Title: Special Education (SPED) Teacher - MiddleSchool
Location : South St. Paul, MN
Contract Duration : Immediate start through end of the 2025-2026 schoolyear
Pay Rate: $50/hour
Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SpecialEducation Teacher to join a Middle School team in South St. Paul, MN. This is acontract position through the end of the school year, offering a competitivehourly rate and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in students' lives.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide specialized instruction to middle school students with diverse learning needs.
Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with staff and families.
Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly.
Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and administration.
Maintain accurate records and comply with all federal, state, and district regulations.
Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university (preferred).
Valid Minnesota teaching license with appropriate endorsements:
Standard Elementary Teaching (preferred)
Standard Secondary Teaching (preferred)
Standard Special Teaching (preferred)
Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) endorsement (preferred)
Minimum of one year of teaching experience (preferred).
Compliance with all relevant professional standards of practice.
Current CPR certification (if applicable).
TB questionnaire, PPD test, or chest x-ray (if applicable).
Current health certificate (per contract or state regulation).
Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Previous experience in school or pediatric settings (preferred).
