Job Title: Mechanical Design EngineerJob Description

Join our dynamic team as a Mechanical Design Engineer, where you will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing mechanical systems and conveyor solutions. This role demands a strong understanding of engineering principles, creativity in problem-solving, and proficiency in CAD software.

Responsibilities

Create detailed designs and specifications for mechanical components, assemblies, and systems using CAD software such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks.

Develop and test proto@types to ensure designs meet performance standards and customer requirements.

Manage project timelines, resources, and budgets to ensure the successful completion of design projects.

Collaborate closely with clients, engineers, and manufacturing teams to meet design specifications and deliver projects on time.

Prepare technical reports, design specifications, and operational manuals.

Stay updated with the latest advancements in technology, design trends, and engineering best practices to drive continuous improvement.

Essential Skills

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

Minimum of 2 years of experience in mechanical design engineering.

Proficiency in CAD software, specifically AutoCAD and SolidWorks.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Knowledge of conveyor systems and industrial equipment is a plus.

PE certification is preferred.

Experience with FEA and 3D printing technologies.

Familiarity with manufacturing processes and materials.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Peoria, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $44.00/hr.
