Facilities Assistant

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Facilities Assistant to join our team on a contract basis in Syracuse, New York. This role involves supporting the efficient operation of facilities, ensuring that conference rooms and other spaces are maintained to high standards. You will play a vital part in coordinating maintenance schedules and assisting with various facility-related tasks.

Responsibilities:

Oversee the scheduling and maintenance of conference rooms to ensure they are fully operational and meet organizational needs.

Utilize a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to track and manage maintenance activities.

Collaborate with the Facilities Coordinator to address facility-related concerns and prioritize tasks.

Monitor and manage timekeeping systems, such as Kronos, to ensure accurate tracking of staff hours.

Assist in maintaining a well-organized inventory of supplies and equipment for facility operations.

Respond promptly to maintenance requests and ensure timely resolution of issues.

Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify areas requiring attention or improvement.

Support the implementation of best practices for facility management and maintenance.

Provide administrative assistance for facility-related projects and documentation.

Ensure compliance with safety and operational standards across all facilities. Requirements - Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for tracking facility operations.

Experience coordinating conference rooms and other shared spaces.

Knowledge of Kronos or similar timekeeping systems.

Strong organizational and multitasking skills to manage various facility-related tasks.

Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.

Ability to perform regular facility inspections and identify maintenance needs.

Basic understanding of safety regulations and facility compliance standards.

Previous experience in a facilities assistant or similar role is preferred but not required. TalentMatch®
