We are interested in the research areas of system-level modeling and operations optimization for smart and connected systems, such as healthcare systems and manufacturing systems. Areas of interest include, but are not limited to, novel methods and algorithms for decision making and optimization, supply chain modeling and management, healthcare/manufacturing/ service system modeling and operations management, and system improvement through human factors engineering and sociotechnical design. This position is in addition to, and distinct from, another ISYE faculty position which is part of the campus RISE initiative Madison, Wisconsin, a beautiful city of more than 250,000, has been named on top-10 lists for tech growth centers, and consistently ranks as a top community in which to live, work, and play.Key Job Responsibilities: Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses and contributing to curriculum updates and innovations to educate a diverse student body; mentoring graduate students and supervising their research; developing and directing a well-recognized and extramurally funded research program; participating in departmental and university faculty governance; contributing to professional and public service; participating in interdisciplinary and collaborative efforts with other departments, schools, and colleges.
