Job Title: Entry Level Lab Technician

Job Description

Join our dynamic team as a Lab Technician, where you will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing our lab operations. Utilize your technical skills in a state-of-the-art facility and collaborate closely with engineers to achieve our goals.

Responsibilities

Change outlets and perform simple plumbing tasks.

Build test fixtures in collaboration with engineers.

Document findings and ensure proper equipment maintenance.

Conduct validation testing as required.

Troubleshoot lab and testing equipment.

Utilize mechanical and technical aptitude for problem-solving.

Work with schematics, blueprints, and electrical components.

Essential Skills

Mechanical testing and troubleshooting experience.

Proficiency with hand tools and power tools.

Technical aptitude in a lab or R&D setting.

Ability to read and interpret schematics and blueprints.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Engineering Degree - Associate's or Bachelor's in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with 0-1 years of experience.

Candidates with a trade school background in construction, trade, maintenance, mechanical, automotive, or plumbing.

Work Environment

Enjoy working in a beautiful, brand-new facility located in Carlsbad, featuring a collaborative team environment. Our lab consists of 15 engineers, but we are seeking to add electronics specialists. Experience a flexible 9/80 work schedule, granting you every other Friday off. Our facility includes an on-site self-service café, free gourmet coffee stations, and a company-sponsored fun events. Stay active with access to an on-site gym, ping-pong, foosball, outdoor bocce ball court, BBQ, and firepit. Work hours are from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM, with flexible start times between 6:30-8:30 AM. While performing job duties, you'll be required to stand, walk, handle objects, and lift equipment. Vision abilities such as close vision, color distinction, depth perception, and focus adjustment are needed. A sense of smell to detect gas or harmful vapors is essential. Limited travel may be required.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
