Description We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Huntersville, North Carolina. This role is ideal for someone with strong expertise in financial management and reporting. You will play a key role in overseeing accounting operations, ensuring compliance, and driving efficiency in financial processes.

Responsibilities:

Lead and manage the month-end close process, ensuring all financial records are accurate and complete.

Oversee general ledger activities and ensure proper account reconciliation.

Conduct and support audits of financial statements to maintain compliance and accuracy.

Prepare and analyze journal entries to support financial reporting.

Collaborate with the VP/Director of Finance to develop and monitor annual budgets.

Drive improvements in budgeting processes to align with organizational goals.

Generate and review financial reports, providing insights to support strategic decision-making.

Monitor cash flow and ensure efficient financial operations.

Ensure all accounting practices adhere to current regulations and best practices. Requirements - Proven experience in managing month-end close activities and financial reporting.

Strong knowledge of general ledger operations and account reconciliation processes.

Familiarity with financial statement audits and compliance requirements.

Proficiency in preparing and analyzing journal entries.

Experience in collaborating on budget development and monitoring.

Ability to analyze financial reports and provide actionable recommendations.

Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.

Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across departments.
