Lead Manufacturing Technician

Key responsibilities

Install, maintain, and repair: Install new machinery and perform routine inspections to ensure all equipment is running smoothly and efficiently.

Troubleshoot and diagnose: Use diagnostic tools and technical manuals to identify the source of mechanical or electrical problems.

Perform repairs: Disassemble machinery, repair or replace defective parts, and test the equipment to confirm the repair was successful.

Implement preventative maintenance: Lubricate, clean, and calibrate equipment to prevent future breakdowns and extend its lifespan.

Ensure safety and compliance: Adhere to all company safety procedures and regulations, and maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Document work: Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities.

You Must Have

5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment with a focus on process improvement.

Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and quality control principles.

Proficiency in using manufacturing software and tools to optimize production.

Experience in implementing lean manufacturing principles and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Proficiency in mechanical and electrical systems.

Ability to read and understand technical manuals and schematics.

Basic computer skills for documentation and logging, sometimes including specific software like CMMS.

Work with Various Systems: Maintain and troubleshoot a variety of systems, including mechanical, electrical (up to 480V, three-phase motors), hydraulic, and pneumatic applications.

Fabricate Parts: Use machine shop instrumentation and equipment (e.g., lathes, grinders, welding equipment) to fabricate minor repair parts when necessary.
