Job Description
We are seeking a Capital Project & Maintenance Supervisor to join our chemical plant operations team. This role combines maintenance management, project leadership, and team supervision to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective operations within the plant. The successful candidate will manage both employees and contractors while supporting plant operations through strategic maintenance planning and capital project execution.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise maintenance employees and contractors, including performance management, scheduling, and conflict resolution
Plan, schedule, and execute maintenance activities using SAP, including daily maintenance and plant shutdowns
Support capital projects from Front End Loading (FEL) through construction and commissioning
Implement Management of Change (MOC) processes for projects and improvements
Develop detailed work scopes, job sequences, labor estimates, and bills of materials
Procure materials, equipment, and services while managing project budgets and timelines
Create installation and repair procedures and build job kits
Analyze data to identify root causes and implement corrective measures
Support technical training for operations teams
Ensure compliance with all Environmental, Health, and Safety programs and regulations.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university
Minimum 3 years of experience in chemical production environment
Demonstrated experience managing employees and capital projects
Strong knowledge of Process Safety Management and ISO 9000/QS 9001 quality systems
Proficiency with SAP maintenance planning and scheduling
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Strong leadership and interpersonal abilities
Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple assignments
Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed
Forklift operation capability
Ability to create piping diagrams.
Preferred Qualifications:
Project Management certification
Six Sigma or LEAN Manufacturing experience
Six Sigma training or equivalent Quality certification.
